Neo-cubist animal.
I'm having a sort of conflict with this acrylic on canvas because it was not intended to be an animal but a non-figurative with a geometric shape. But while I was advancing, the shape took a more organic pattern which I think it was due to the use of the knife. And somehow I saw a couple of intertwined birds, then it ended up being a weird animal.
I told my associated, take a look, what do you think? I'm going to cover it completely. And he said, no, I like this "animal" and its neo-cubist spirit.
And I replied I didn't like the main structure too much, and he said, the eye is bothering you, let it be, a painting doesn't need to be based on a beautiful thing.
It was horizontal but he said it must be vertical with the eye in the far left corner.
And here it is, I'm not going to scratch it after all. At least not for now.

Triángulo escondido en Rusia. Triangle hidden in Russia
It´s pretty easy to discover the triangle but not the reference for Russia. Though, in the background there´s a town with small houses, one next to the other in perfect compact geometry. The straight lines are the streets.
It was absolutely frozen, so I added some color to make the inhabitants happier...

Posters for a tire shop. Posters para un negocio de gomas
Two versions of the same poster, I think the blue one is better, the wheels are more readable. And the graphic design stop here, I don't enjoy drawing letters....

Tejidos. Tissues
A kind of Manierism in the orthogonal tissue. The abstract stain diluted in the Euclidean shape, that´s trying to escape from its strict square limits. Two versions of the same idea.

Círculo y cuadrado mostrando su interior. Circle and square showing their interior
A circle that has been projected inside a square. The circle is the square´s interior, but the circle has it´s own interior. A kind of Mamushka doll, but represented as a different concept.
The interior is irregular like the bowels inside a human body. Reason and chaos.

Attack to a cube. Ataque a un cubo
This attack to the cube could be immoral for some people:
¨Expediency therefore concurs with Nature in stamping the seal of its approval upon Regularity of conformation: nor has the Law been backward in seconding their efforts. "Irregularity of Figure" means with us the same as, or more than, a combination of moral obliquity and criminality with you, and is treated accordingly. There are not wanting, it is true, some promulgators of paradoxes who maintain that there is no necessary connection between geometrical and moral Irregularity. "The Irregular," they say, "is from his birth scouted by his own parents, derided by his brothers and sisters, neglected by the domestics, scorned and suspected by society, and excluded from all posts of responsibility, trust, and useful activity.¨

Bees. Abejas
Two bees are inserted on a bigger one, from which we can only see part of its silhouette in the background. The oval represents an egg, and it´s repeated in two, one per each bee. Insects that were born from the Queen.
The square cells emphasize the rigid geometrical construction; but colors are melt to soften the Euclidean geometry.

Square cells. Celdas cuadradas
¨YOU, WHO are blessed with shade as well as light, you, who are gifted with two eyes, endowed with a knowledge of perspective, and charmed with the enjoyment of various colours, you, who can actually see an angle, and contemplate the complete circumference of a Circle in the happy region of the Three Dimensions - how shall I make clear to you the extreme difficulty which we in Flatland experience in recognizing one another's configuration?¨
